What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

ABA is a scientific approach that utilizes strategies to increase socially significant behaviors while also decreasing behaviors that impede with learning. Our school-Based Behavior Intervention Services are rooted in ABA which is the most widely accepted approach for assessing and providing intervention for individuals with autism and other developmental challenges. 

Our Team at Stone Ridge Academy

Our team consists of certified and licensed professionals who are highly trained and experienced in providing quality treatment services to students with special needs. We rely on the use of positive, behavioral principles of ABA therapy to help students improve functional skills and develop confidence around daily school-related tasks. Our comprehensive ABA services are delivered by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT’s) and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Our specialists are trained to the highest standards and experienced in providing quality treatment services to students with special needs. Our Mission

Our goal is to decrease maladaptive behaviors while simultaneously increasing communication skills and improving attention to academic tasks. We also focus on individual student interests and strengths to increase motivation to complete structured assignments. To facilitate learning, we break down essential skills into easy-to-learn steps. Data is collected daily to monitor progress with behaviors and skill acquisition targets, to provide the groundwork for the student’s customized plan, to monitor program delivery, and to track progress toward annual goals. We believe that all school staff must work closely with our ABA personnel to help students reach their fullest potential and are passionate about helping students overcome the many challenges that can arise in the school setting. Our team of specialists strive to ensure that students receive the individualized support they need to succeed.
